You take your internet friends with you when you travel or when you move.

So, I moved around a lot as a child, the upshot of which is that I have no childhood friends in my life and really haven't had, not for most of my life. We didn't have the luxury of revisiting places we'd been. Mostly I just lost contact soon after moving, though some stretched out with letter writing.

Anyway, what you wrote made me sad and happy. Mostly happy.
