writing it out - wanting to vid

I would really like to make vids, and so I'm going to try and write out the barriers I've experienced, and see if it helps.



1. Hard to see things on my computer screen. Everything is too small. Maybe I could get an external monitor that is bigger. Bifocals or other glasses might also help.

2. I get frustrated easily these days, and it is hard to sit with that feeling.

3. Chronic pain and illness make it hard to focus and learn new things. I simply do not have a lot of energy and I have a lot of pain.

4. I work better on projects when I'm working with someone, but so far I haven't found anyone to actually collaborate with. I also learn certain things better with a teacher rather than trying to figure them out myself. Anyway, if you want to teach me or collaborate lmk!

Let me know if you might want to collaborate with me! I have wanted to get into vidding for a very long time but it gets hard to stay on track without somebody holding my feet to the fire. (And I know a LITTLE bit - I used to make vids on VHS back in the day, and I've played around with a nonlinear editor for doing YouTube stuff!)

Remind me which operating system you are using? Some I know better than others (I used iMovie on a Mac like a decade ago, and now only use kdenlive on Linux).

I'm happy to help out however I can, although I'm not on a Mac and have put my attempts at trying out DaVinci Resolve on hold ... I can answer general vidding questions, though, and probably even some Resolve-specific ones.
