the lead singer of Panic at the Disco was a Mormon growing up and there is actually a fic in the fandom that is basically an AU of Latter Days. The singer never leaves the church to become, well, a singer, at 17, and instead goes on being a Mormon, and then moves next door, by accident, to the other band members.
