I'm between things right now. I started an XMFC fanfic but it's not really working for me so I don't think I'll continue with it. Some of the AUs I read just feel so... paint-by-numbers.

Friend Request, by rumpleghost. A Yuletide story based on the movie Weekend, Glen/Russell.

I quite liked this; the character depictions were spot-on and it gave them further adventures together in a mostly realistic way. Well written and the tension between the characters really came through. Recommended.

Lust Over Pendle by AJ Hall. Harry Potter fandom, Neville/Draco, Hermione, Narcissa, Emily Longbottom, others.

I loved this! A comedy of manners and an adventure, the characters really sing. Today I was thinking about how utterly awesome Draco is in one scene opposite an original character. It also centers some female characters such as Narcissa DeVries (nee Malfoy), Emily Longbottom, and Hermione, who are each powerful witches and people, and who all deserve such attention. I will read more of this author. Highly recommended.

Lust Over Pendle! I read that years ago and loved it!! There's another fabulous long read by the same author (where is my thinking cap?). I highly recommend tracking it down.

January is always my "nesting" month. I spend lots of time cleaning and organizing things, because I am asiduously avoiding the weather and lack of daylight outside.

Lust Over Pendle is one of those fandoms classics I've always heard about but never read. I can't remember why I didn't read it (other than I'm not that big on long fic), but I vaguely remember not liking the formatting of the website. Now I see she's got them all in ebooks, so maybe I'll download it and give it a try!

It's really good! I have read very little HP fanfic and I don't even remember how I came across this one. I'm going to read more of her fic. I read it as an eBook and the formatting worked out for me. I hope you like it. The title is a little deceiving-- there is very little sex it is, although there is romance of various kinds. :)

Having no/very little money also makes doing things around the house a good occupation for right now, as well as the weather which you mention. I feel productive!

I am reading some more AJ Hall and really enjoying it. It's nice that they are all in ebook format.
