Since I don't really go to other cons, I'm just figuring this out now, and I totally agree with you.

It's like-- con runners are providing a service. They don't seem to get that. Why not make the con actually decent to attend for everyone who has a body? Maybe it's because geeks have this whole thing about wanting to be a brain in a jar...
