I've seen some mystery TV shows with more mundane mysteries: Terriers, which is about private detectives (some death but not always), and the Finder, which is about a guy who finds things (and who isn't interested in solving murders etc). I liked both shows quite a bit. I don't read mysteries, generally speaking, but I watch a lot of TV as you may have noticed. :)

I like the lighter bits and the comedy in this show, and that's just hard to balance in a murder show.
