From @theFridayfive: old stuff

These questions were written by Florianschild.

1) What is the oldest thing you own?
Rocks, and a piece of petrified wood, which is also a rock but a special one.

2) What is the oldest home you've lived in?
My childhood home was built in the 1920s. It's a craftsman-style farmhouse, and was pretty small; my parents put on an addition and did some remodeling to add bedrooms and bathrooms.

3) What is the oldest book you've read?
In high school I read some classics like Antigone, which is probably the oldest at ~441 BC. I don't really read classics on my own time.

4) What is the oldest electronic device that you still use?
A stereo, really a boombox style, with CD player, tape player, and radio. I've had it since high school, so, 20+ years. Works well.

5) What is the oldest work of art/architecture that you've seen?
Probably Roman aqueducts and bridges in Spain, something like 1900 years old! In our area, Madison WI, there are Native American effigy mounds; the internet tells me those are about 1,000 years old. There are some Roman coins and things downtown at the art museum also.

Oh hey, I was in a production of Antigone in school once! Made the plot stick pretty well in my head!
