My good friend jesse_the_k bought me a NEW CAMERA!! It is a Nikon CoolPix L22, dark red. It is super sleek and awesome. A world of picture taking awaits! We also had some really great Italian Ice after our shopping expedition.

I have two volumes left of the graphic novel series Strangers In Paradise by Terry Moore. It is 19 volumes long, beautifully drawn, with excellent characterization. It's taken me a while to read because of the emotional involvement. Having a bit more graphic novel reading experience now, I find myself paying much more attention to the art style, the way the people are drawn, and what, if it were a movie, I would term "cinematography"-- the way the frames are set up.

I need to get back into the swing of taking photos -- I've been really lazy about it lately. I'm hoping that once green things start coming back I'll feel a little more motivated.

Yay camera! I got a Nikon Coolpix for Christmas the year before last and returned it because it took such horrible pictures (like really the worst I'd ever seen). I have no idea if it was the brand or if that specific camera was actually defective, but I have been leery of their Coolpix line ever since. But they are so tiny and I really like the design, so I'm eager to see your pics and hear your opinion on it. Maybe I really did just get a defective one.

I had a really good experience with my previous Nikon Coolpix, which is about 5 years old and still mostly works as long as I don't use the flash; it takes good quality pictures still, but has some problems associated with old age. I will let you know how this one goes!
