I'm sorry about folks who are invested in Tumblr. I am not a heavy Tumblr user but I've enjoyed seeing people's art and goofy memes and photos. I am sad to leave it behind.

This is definitely a comforting space to be. I'm not abandoning Tumblr, but every platform has its place, and it can't be the hub that LJ/DW was for me.

I also will miss the art and memes; hopefully they find a new home that works better. There was a contingent of Fandom Youth who were really cool and dialed into all the hip new slang, etc, and I will miss the window into that slice of culture :(
