I'm workin on the night moves
Hello! I am doing OK and hope you are too. I felt awful earlier today but went back to sleep for a while and after that, things were better. I am going to try and embrace this night life instead of fighting it, for the time being. I also asked for help with getting groceries, since grocery delivery is overwhelmed with orders right now and is a bit tricky to navigate. It's not like I loved going to the grocery store, but I loved being able to just go get food whenever I wanted to, including the middle of the night. Stores that used to be open all the time are closed now at night for cleaning and re-stocking.
I really appreciate folks who have reached out. Doing video phone calls has been great-- it's easier than regular phone calls for me. I suppose I get a lot of information from facial expressions, and it's easier to pay attention and not zone out.
People are creative and resourceful. We'll get through this together.

I've been to several of his art exhibitions
and seen his books turned into plays and symphonies!

I saw “The lost thing” animation

And had the great good fortune to use his wordless book, The Arrival, while tutoring ESL students.

I too mourn the loss of wee-hours grocery runs. Though not enough to drive through an all-night Walgreen's for bags of Brach's red jelly beans.
