looking for advice on dealing with mosquitos

I am super stressed by the mosquitos in our apartment. I've killed at least 8 in the last hour. When they bite me, they leave big painful burning welts. We (roommate and I) don't know where they are coming from. They were in the apartment even with all the windows shut the other day. I've poured vinegar down the drains but no dice.

Looking for advice.
