1 month out, progress report
Apr. 6th, 2023 01:27 amNot much to report. I'm in a lot of pain, I'm resting a lot, but it's hard for me to stay off screens. I did get the impression from the doctor that even taking a small break is good, ie, close your eyes for a minute and breathe. So that is helpful-- I don't have to completely stop the activity to get a rest.
Monday:
laceblade went with me to an appointment. It went fine as far as I could tell; the doc said that I just have to wait for the concussion to improve. After that I slept all day.
On Tuesday I got a lunch visit from Jesse, and later my friends sent me Panera delivery: several days worth of soup. Excellent. I was able to do a couple of chores.
Today I ordered groceries, took a shower, played a little Stardew Valley. Spent probably too much time on Tumblr and Twitter.
I think the dog is calmer these last few days.
Watched: Ted Lasso, latest episode.
I could really use more things to do if anyone has recs for activities that are suitable for a concussed brain. It's still pretty cold here so sitting outside isn't so appealing, though I did see a turkey go past my window today. I'm trying to schedule more time with people, since that cheers me up.
Welcome recs: audio books and podfic that are light and heart warming.
