I so very much wish that I had toothache as my prompt, because I'd write that one or something along those lines. Might anyway.
I have some disabilty (both physical and emotional) issues, as does my partner, and although I can see the concerns (and agree with them to some extent), I signed up for the challenge because I felt that it would challenge me as a writer to portray things properly. Some of them are not triggery, IMO, while many are - that is unfortunately the nature of hurt-comfort fic. The mods of the comm are planning to revamp it for the next round to try to help with the concerns, and I applaud them for it.
H/C fic, when done well, is amazingly wonderful, but when done badly, is horrendous. Hopefully more of it will be the former than the latter.
