I would be inclined to play it by ear and do what's comfortable for you. Maybe you don't feel like bothering and dislike the performative aspects tied in with attending a wedding, etc etc. Or maybe you wake up a few days before and go 'yeah, you know, maybe I WILL experiment with shaving or waxing or sugaring because it could be fun.'
One caution re:waxing. I haven't done it, but I know people who have and I know that it can sometimes interact badly with chronic pain or sensitive skin. So it might be worth asking around to get a survey of experiences, and possibly to ask a salon to do a small test strip for you in a discreet spot so you can see how it feels before committing to your whole leg.
