completely agree with this! I hadn't thought about contrasting those two moments, but the MMFR one really makes sense and carries emotions I can relate to, whereas the one in Snowpiercer weirded me out from the beginning. Because why is eating bugs so bad? I thought for sure it was going to be people or feces, something with a stronger taboo.
