Saw a PA yesterday at the pain and headache clinic. In my experience PAs are better than doctors for dealing with chronic conditions. For one thing, they seem to have more time.

Things I'm going to try:

--Keeping a headache journal. When she asked why I haven't done this, I said "it's too depressing." By their standards I have a headache every day (though I call it facial pain). I don't have a smart phone so can't use an app for this. But, I'm going to try a website and give it a shot.

--PT specifically for headaches.

--Some new meds including gels and a muscle relaxant.

--continue botox injections


I liked season 2 of The 100 much, much better than season one and watched it really fast.

In dog news, I finally got Abbie to sit on the couch with me. This is amazing as she's been scared of the couch for a long time. It's really nice to cuddle on the sofa with a dog!

When I kept a mood journal for 3 weeks (noting down my mood about 3-4 times per day), I used a small paper notebook and that worked best for me; then again I used a MeeGo phone that had a verrrrry limited app ecology!

I had good success for headache journaling with a Google docs spreadsheet and simple form. I added a link to the form to my home screen on my phone so it's convenient to fill out. I find this method helps make journaling less depressing - I don't have to see ask the other entries every time I record something.
