Front Cover - 2015 - Netflix

A very well done movie about a gay fashion stylist, Ryan. He's American-born Chinese, and not at all proud of his heritage. His boss tells him to style Ning, a Chinese movie star who is trying to break into the US market. Ning will only work with someone Chinese. At first Ning seems homophobic, but it turns out that he is closeted. I really enjoyed this movie. Content note: Ryan has a few food issues.

Terminator Genisys

I had low expectations for this one, but I wanted to complete the set. I liked it better than I thought I would. I have a big soft spot for time travel films and stories. JK Simmons was the best part of this one-- he plays a minor character, a cop who has witnessed the robots and is trying to convince other people they exist. The film itself is kind of forgettable though.

I watched Teminator Genisys on hulu. Agreed about JK Simmons' part but then he always brings it, even in a not so great movie.

My biggest peeve was Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese. Mostly because I don't necessarily like the actor. If the movie had just been Old Man Terminator and Sarah Connor kicking ass, I might have liked it better.

He was very bland, wasn't he? I was thinking this morning about how the original Kyle Reese is weird and intense and sort of damaged, and therefore really interesting. This version of Kyle was just... blah.
