Rec: Icarus on netflix

sasha_featherI overdid it yesterday so took a rest day today.
This included watching the documentary "Icarus" on Netflix (the Oscar winner), which I really enjoyed. It starts out as a project where filmmaker Bryan Fogle, an amateur cyclist, wants to learn about the doping process and decides to start doping, and documenting it, as an experiment, with an eye to exposing how testing is flawed.
He's directed to a Russian chemist to help him with the process. Grigory Rodchenkov is a real character-- a funny, outgoing dog-lover who Skypes with Bryan while lounging around half-naked.
When Grigory's state-run lab comes under investigation, things take a turn. The film shifts into a Russian thriller. Grigory begins to jusifiably fear for his life.
I don't want to spoil it, so that's all I'll say. This is an exciting documentary.
