Music questions
Sep. 13th, 2023 09:28 pmTrying to get myself posting again with
thefridayfive questions.
1. What song do you live for at the moment?
I've had a whole playlist on repeat, one of the songs is newer to me and is by Brian Eno and John Cale, "Lay my love." It was maybe in the Bear (tv show). i love how it builds and builds.
My concussion song / optimistic playlist is here;
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7tHhrkr1HWD1wLYAy3u0lT?si=91b0fe3d5857470a
2. Is there a band or artist that you attach to a particular memory? What memory is it?
"Under the Bridge" by the red hot chili peppers, a popular radio song in the 90s. My friend James, playing guitar in the back of a pick-up truck, at a horse show. A sunny summer day. Bliss.
3. What's the most beautiful song lyric you've ever heard?
Dessa has some of the best lyrics.
"The surgeon and farmer meet
And each greets the other with a bow;
They're kindred instruments, you know
The scalpel and the plow."
4. If you could choose any band/artist to cover any song, which combination would you pick?
I want someone to make a lesbian version of "If you could only see the way she loves me, maybe you would understand" which is originally by Tonic.
5. What's the best concert you've ever attended?
I finally decided or realized I'm not a big concert person. I had fun going to them but it wasn't better than listening at home, for me; possibly the stress of getting there and trying to be comfortable was interfering with the experience.
