This vid is hilarious and sweet, a very slight alteration of the movie to make a slash reading. The combination of the song and source really get me in the squee place, because it's funny and silly but also TRUE. As in, these two really love each other! They would fight and die for each other! But they also laugh a lot and tease each other and don't take life too seriously. Except when they do. It's that thing, you know, that contradiction about love, the intensity that bubbles over into delight. This vid helped me out during a particularly hard time in my life when I was in the throes of coming out, because it is filled with Hoyay.

I just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying your vid posts. I've not really been into vidding (despite making a few disastrous anime vids in high school using two VCRs!) but I think it may be sucking me in. And a good vid is like a tiny lesson in narrative technique, very inspiring.

Thanks very much! I've been enjoying making these posts, partly because it encourages me to put into words why I love vids, which are generally a non-verbal art form, ie art I process without words. Vids are really great and I love seeing people get into them.
