I did not appreciate the whiff of homophobia I got in this episode. Shirley's family called Batman gay and Troy was upset about it, as if gay were an insult rather than just an opinion or viewpoint on the character. Why would Troy see this as a threat, as something to make him upset? It doesn't make sense.
Also Jeff did not act in character in this episode IMO; he usually doesn't change so quickly.
I have liked the other episodes this season OK, but I begin to see what people are complaining about.
