I enjoyed Iron Man Three! It had heart and character, and was fun and exciting. Very enjoyable. Also PEPPER.

Some of the previews we saw:

The Hangover III: Seriously? Dudebros and Manchildren central.

Star Trek Into Darkness: I will see it and hope it doesn't suck

Thor II: Looks good! Jane and Darcy are in the preview, and Thor's mom.

White House Down with Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx. Eh.

Monsters U: the preview wasn't funny. Don't know if I will see this.

Recently Finished

Marbles by Ellen Forney, a really great graphic memoir about being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. It was an engrossing read, with great art. Recommended.

I'm certainly encountering a lot of PEPPER squee the last couple of days. I might actually go see this one in the cinema.

I fear that even Bendy can't save STID. (In fact, from clips I've seen, he might even be the one sort of ruining it. You know, by highlighting the less-than-brilliant acting of the main stars...)

I liked Marbles. I've read other books by Ellen Forney and enjoyed them as well.

I also liked Maus, but it's been quite a while since I've read it.

I love that you listed the previews. We also saw it last night, and the previews overlapped but were not the same. We had Hunger Games whatever-number and Lone Ranger instead of Hangover III and Monsters U.

All the previews looked the same to me; they were all 100% about blowing shit up. I hope the movies are more subtle.
