My theater usage has ramped up considerably in the last five years, I'd say. I think the awesomeness of Sundance did a lot for that. Last year was a much better year for women in film than this year.
Okay, I had to use the internet to help with this, but so far, I've seen:
Warm Bodies (cute!) Stoker (incredible indie film, very creepy and dark but gorgeous cinematography) Iron Man 3 (enjoyable, some issues) Star Trek (no comment other than I actually enjoyed it much less the second time) The Great Gatsby (meh, though superb acting from Leonardo diCaprio) What Maisie Knew (indie, one of the few women-starring films this year, amazing, in the feels) Man of Steel (I really liked it! Awesome female characters!)
Imminently planning to see Much Ado About Nothing, WWZ, and The Bling Ring (I love Sophia Coppola).
Excited about: Elysium, The Butler (holy star lineup), Riddick, Grvity (space horror!), Ender's Game (which I plan on not paying for), Catching Fire.
