Taking fictional characters on dates.

sasha_featherPosting this here, copied from Twitter, so I can save it. I had a lot of fun with these prompts (suggest more if you'd like). Twitter is nice for this kind of thing because it encourages just writing what comes to mind rather than over-thinking things.
The original meme was "give me a fictional character and I'll tell you why I would not date them." This seemed too negative to me and besides I don't really date anyway, so I changed it to "I'll tell you where I'd take them on a date."
Anne and Ann from Gentleman Jack:
Hm. Historical lesbians. If they were here in the present day I'd take them to gay brunch and to the feminist book store. To a reading at the bookstore, in particular.
Baz from Carry On (he's a vampire):
To Cave of the Mounds in Blue Mounds, WI.
Deanna Troi (TNG):
She is so romantic. A stroll through a flower garden, then a candle-lit meal. Maybe a class where we learn to throw pottery.
Data from Star Trek: a Cat cafe.
Alec Hardison (Leverage):
A Star Trek convention! If one is not available, a Star Trek themed party at home.
Parker (Leverage):
She would love to go bungee jumping, but I would not like that, so maybe we could compromise and do something that is high up but also safe, like eating in one of those restaurants at the top of a very tall building. Alternately I bet she'd love snorkeling! We'd have to wear a lot of sunscreen.
Eliot (Leverage): fishing. Actual fishing not video game fishing. There would be alcohol and cards. Maybe cribbage. Flannel shirts and goofy hats. Other options include horseback riding and ice skating.
Poe Dameron and Finn (assuming they date together as a couple) (SW):
This is such an intimidating thought, the force of both these super charming, super handsome men. So, to take off that pressure: mini golfing. A sport which everyone looks ridiculous. They would both be super competitive with each other but in this fantasy, I am a master at mini golf and completely destroy them both. Loser pays for drinks.
Ripley (Alien):
Oh gosh. I feel like she'd enjoy something physical like a climbing wall.
Ted Lasso:
a baking or cooking class, where he could get expert instruction in trying new things.
Rebecca W (Ted lasso):
Karaoke. Maybe horseback riding for a 2nd date.
Keeley (TL):
an arcade or fair, with those silly games and cotton candy.
Roy Kent (TL): He'd resist it but we'd go in one of those little paddle boats around a pond with swans in it. He'd secretly LOVE it.
Jamie Tartt (TL): hard pass
Nate Shelley (TL): Maybe like a double date where he wouldn't have to talk. A pub trivia night, and then he could show off his knowledge.
Coach Beard (TL): Volunteering at like, a soup kitchen, or I'd bring him along to books to prisoners.

I think I'd just melt into a puddle of goo. After I re-constituted, we'd go to a museum and look at fine art.

I feel like she deserves a spa day. Then afterwards maybe we'd go for a picnic.

Classic car show, or maybe just test driving sports cars.
John Sheppard (SGA): Honestly I'd take him to a gay bar, be his wing man, try to get him laid by a dude. There are other gay men who would enjoy a platonic date with me but he would not, it'd be too awkward.

Expansewise, I 1000% agree with Naomi Nagata and you'd be a small puddle of paint by the end of your game with Bobbie.
