Matt Bomer and Sean Maher have been freaking me out for ages. Their features are nearly identical, except the nose, but their heads are shaped just differently enough to make it weird.

Huh, I think the set of Sean Maher's eyes makes him look a graduate degree smarter than Bohmer (although the reality is probably switched).

Your Nick Stahl photo is a ? placeholder in two browsers (oh woe) but when flipping back and forth I see just about zero resemblance.

how to tell i'm getting old-- nick stahl does look a lot like alexander siddig, but he is insufficiently gray and wrinkly to do it for me. alexander siddig, on the otherhand, sufficiently experienced looking.

Alexander Siddig has just gotten better looking as he has aged. The same might be true for Stahl! :) I don't think he's quite old enough to play Nick Stahl's father, but uncle maybe.
