Unexpectedly, I feel relieved, like there is a weight off my shoulders.



jesse_the_k came over.

I'd gotten Sorcha up out of her crate and onto the couch; but in the last 24 hours she went downhill fast and she fell down on the brief walk there. So, it was obvious that it was time to go. I pet her and we watched a few fan vids.

The vet and an assistant came to the apartment and explained what they were doing. It didn't take very long.

I highly recommend having the vet come to your house if this service is available and you can afford it. It's much less stressful than even thinking about getting a sick animal into the car and into the vet's office. The people were nice and respectful and all around, I couldn't have asked for better.

We got out of the house afterwards and went shopping.

<3 I'm so sorry I haven't been around the last couple of days while this was going on; I just heard from eruthros that you'd said goodbye to Sorcha. I just want you to know that I love you, and that she was a good dog, and that you did so well by her. She was lucky to have you in her life, and I'm sure you made her last years happier. If you need anything, I'm here for you. Thinking of you, and of her, and remembering her fondly. I'm so glad I got to meet her recently and see how good you were for each other.
